Queens Jubilee Street Party Planned

To celebrate our Queen’s 60 year reign on the throne, Buntingford will be hosting a Diamond Jubilee Street Party on Monday 4 June.

It will be held along the High Street which will be decked with bunting and flags. Tables and chairs will be provided and the tables will be dressed with patriotic red white and blue decorations. There will be a medieval theme throughout the day and everyone attending is invited to join in the fun and dress to this theme, although it’s not compulsory! Read all about it

New parking scheme comes to Buntingford

Parking is an issue in Buntingford, but the new RingGo scheme should help. The Bowling Green Lane car park behind Budgens now allows you to park using your mobile phone and pay with a credit/debit card. Once set up its quick and easy. Register here and then use this code 8708 to park using your mobile phone and pay with a credit/debit card.

Should you need to extend your stay, you can do this without returning to your car.

Marketing Zone is supporting the Royal Wedding celebrations in Buntingford

Mark Ganellin is on the celebrations committee, and has developed a suite of materials to promote the event. To kick start the campaign, Marketing Zone designed a Buntingford Royal Wedding logo. Then a website was developed using a content management system, so businesses involved in the event could update the website with the latest news.

Marketing Zone went on to design and print a leaflet that was put through every door in the town, and designed 8ft banner displays to be set up around the town so local commuters and residents would be reminded of the event.

The pièce de résistance is the 6ft congratulations card that the marketing agency has designed to present to the Royal couple following their wedding. The card features drawings from the local school children of Millfield First & Nursery School, and Layston C of E First School, and is available for people of the town to sign in the run up to the wedding day in St Peter’s Church on the High Street.

“I’m delighted Marketing Zone can support the Royal Wedding celebrations in Buntingford,” said Mark. “It’s been great to see the drawings that the local children have made for the card, and we’re really looking forward to marking this occasion with the local community. It’s going to be a day to remember.”
